I’m Jane and I design learning experiences that help make people feel capable, prepared, and supported. I focus on clarity, accessibility, and practical application, all of which help someone do their work with confidence.
I’ve spent more than a decade designing, developing, and delivering eLearning and training for government agencies, public health organizations, nonprofits, and technical teams. My work skillfully combines adult learning theory, digital storytelling, and plain language communication.
My goal is simple: make learning easier for people.
Colleagues often note my ability to take storyboards and instructional plans and turn them into learning experiences that feel intentional, cohesive, and human-centered.
My Approach
I believe training works best when it’s:
- Clear – no jargon, no filler, no guessing
- Accessible – designed with WCAG and UDL principles, aligned with 508 standards
- Equitable – built to include more people and more perspectives
- Practical – focused on real tasks, not abstract theory
I use a calm, collaborative process that helps teams get aligned early, especially during the first stages, where strategy sessions really get projects kicked off the right way. I’m at my best as a senior individual contributor who leads through compassion, equity, clear communication, and thoughtful planning.
What I Do
Most of my work centers on:
- Designing eLearning modules and scenario-based training
- Creating microlearning and performance support tools
- Building instructor-led training materials
- Translating complex or technical topics into learner-friendly formats
- Supporting projects with needs analysis, content strategy, and structure
I work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), project leads, and cross-functional teams. I’m comfortable in RFP-driven environments and government workflows where structure, documentation, and accessibility really matter.
Equity, accessibility, and usability guide my decisions at every stage of the design process.
What I Value
I care most about:
- Treating learner with respect
- Improving clarity instead of adding complexity
- Building equitable and inclusive learning experiences
- Creating calm, steady collaboration within teams
- Delivering work that’s thoughtful, durable, and useful
I find great joy in helping others learn new things!
Outside My Work
I’m someone who enjoys reading, making things, and helping those in my community. I bring a sense of humor, a grounded approach, and a steady presence to those around me, whether that’s at work or at home.
